A recent survey by Investor’s Business Daily indicated that 79.5% of clients are somewhat or very satisfied with their financial advisor. While impressive it is down from the prior year.
The number one factor in satisfaction was trust by a large measure. Next was performance.
Interestingly of those who responded to the survey 48.9% have never used an advisor and do not plan on using an advisor. In looking deeper at the responses it seems like many people look at advisors as only as investment advisors – not as holistic financial advisors.
Advisors who separate themselves from the pack by offering holistic planning put themselves in a better position to not only attract those people who are looking for a financial advisor but also possibly open the eyes of those who are not looking for an advisor because they have a limited view of the services advisors provide.
Are you putting yourself in the best position to appeal to as many as possible?
