Thursday is Thanksgiving and many of us will be gathering with family and friends to celebrate.  Many will over eat. Some will drink too much and others will get into a fight with someone in the family.  Some will watch football and others will plan their attack for “Black Friday.” 

Hopefully everyone has a good day and spends some time giving thanks for what they have in their lives.  As financial professionals we have much to give thanks for.  We earn of living by doing something we enjoy, we are able to provide for our families, we work in a country that still rewards us for hard work and success, Even though our business is regulated and getting more so every year the regulations are generally consistent, we help people.

While we are giving thanks take a moment to think about the thanks you have earned.  Each time you make a recommendation and the client follows through you have earned thanks, each time the client asks advise and you help them make a decision you have earned thanks, each time you ask difficult questions and get the client thinking about how they are going to solve that problem you have earned thanks.

 While this week is Thanksgiving each day you are helping and advising your clients is Thanksearning Day.
